As a survivor of childhood sexual, physical, and emotional abuse,
Dr. Claresa Baggs, PhD(hc), is a staunch advocate for bringing awareness of childhood traumas and their global effects on society. Claresa believes that opening our mouths and speaking our truths becomes a healing balm for both the speaker and listener. Claresa asked God to make her similar to Jesus with the ability to heal, even from afar. And that is what she aims to do from her many platforms.
In addition to producing works that include talk shows, commercials, and the upcoming documentary Consequence, Claresa is an inspirational speaker, thought leader, possibility thinker, author, and humanitarian. She uses her platforms to share her stories to inspire change and thought processes while advocating for changes in laws, conversations, and attitudes toward child abuse, sexual assault, and mental health wellness. Claresa's passion is to help to give voice to the voiceless. She is purposed to speak life into situations that initially seem hopeless and aim to remove the burdens of shame that victims of assault are unfairly shouldering.
Claresa has won many awards, including B.E.S.T. Talk Show, B.E.S.T. Television Show (x2!), Outstanding Champion Award, Farbe Magazine 2018 Philanthropist, Farbe Magazine 2018 Non-Profit Director, and more.
